Story Talk and Play in Bluebirds (Supertato)

This week, Bluebirds have been learning all about Supertato! We started by reading the story together and talking about the different characters and events.

In our story area, the children have been using character figures and illustration prompts to help them re-tell the story in their own words. They have really enjoyed bringing the story to life, using superhero sound effects like “pop!”, “pow!” and “smash!” to make their storytelling more exciting. Some children even added their own favourite characters, including Spider-Man and Captain America, creating their own versions of the story.

Through this, the children have been developing their oracy skills by building confidence in speaking, using new vocabulary and expressing their ideas clearly during play and storytelling.
