Falcons - British Science Week

We had a fantastic time celebrating British Science Week in school! Lots of children took part in the homework grid that was posted on the website and it was great to see creative projects being brought in to share with the class.

To finish the week, we joined a live lesson with the NFU called The Big Farming QUESTion: How does Science turn Fields into Feasts? During the session, we spent the day exploring the science behind the ingredients needed to make a special Eid feast.

We met Farmer Muhsen and learned about his animals, discovered how dates travel from the lab to Ramadan traditions and explored how plants reproduce on farms and in glasshouses.

It was a brilliant way to end British Science Week and helped us see how science is used in the real world every day.
