Eagles meet the chicks!
As part of our science work, we have been learning about life cycles. To bring this learning to life, Eggucation recently delivered 7 eggs into our classroom in an incubator. Very quickly, the eggs began to hatch and within a day or two of their arrival, we had 7, very happy and healthy chicks running around their enclosure. The children have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the chicks grow and develop. At only just over a week old, the chicks have grown so much and are already looking rather large. They are really rather noisy too!
The children have enjoyed the responsibility of taking care of our chicks and they have ensured that they are warm and have enough food and clean water to drink. They've also enjoyed a great number of cuddles too! We have loved having the chicks in our classroom and will definitely miss them next week!
