Eagles Science-Plants-Y2 Unit

To begin our new Science unit, Eagles completed a Unit Readiness activity to explore what they already know and revisit key concepts from their previous learning.

The children answered a range of questions independently, demonstrating their understanding and recalling important knowledge. Afterwards, we came together as a class to share and discuss our answers, giving everyone the opportunity to explain their thinking, learn from one another, and build on their existing knowledge.

We have also carried out an experiment using cress seeds. We planted the seeds and we will be looking at the difference between: water and sunlight, water but no sunlight, sunlight and no water, no water and no sunlight. The children have make predictions and we will record our results after we have observed them for a few weeks.
