Take a look at some of the exciting art enrichment activities we have been taking part in this year so far.
Guiseley High School visit
Selected pupils were able to visit Guiseley art department to be taught art skills and methods to prepare art ready for the ALPT Art Exhibition. Working with the professionals, within a secondary art classroom was inspiring for the children and enhanced their passion and talent in art.
Royal Ballet and Opera Workshops
Children across school participated in the online Everybody Sing:The Magic Flute where children were introduced to the elements of opera- from music and singing to storytelling- with insights from expert performers and creatives.
Everybody Dance: Alice’s Adventures children learnt different dance moves and used body and facial expressions to retell the story. Characteristics and personalities came alive.

AVSED Christmas Appeal
Over the past few weeks, School Council have been busy with their peers making Christmas Cards for AVSED (Aireborough Voluntary Services to the Elderly). Today, they were collected and will now be delivered out to all of their members alongside AVSEDs special ‘Christmas Newsletters’.

Reception decorated footprints with materials they found in and outside of school.
KS1 drew and painted trees. Discussed what they would include in a picnic and carried out still-life sketches of their food.
LKS2 described and created their favourite local walks.
UKS2 described and created, using different mediums, their favourite walks.
As you can see, the standard of art was outstanding. Thank you to all of our talented artists.
