Taskmaster Club
***Woodpeckers’ Summer Task*** Please scroll down.
Every Friday, three children from each class are invited to take part in Taskmaster Club.
Why Taskmaster Club?
Well…
Important life skills!
By engaging with Taskmaster’s approach to learning, children develop important life skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication, lateral thinking and resilience, while pupil wellbeing is supported and developed by making school more fun. Working as a team improves a child’s sense of belonging, and the varied nature of tasks means that it’s not always the same (sporty or academic) children who do well. Everyone has the chance to play their part, feel involved, and succeed.

Woodpeckers’ Summer Task
You have been given a little cup of kindness (I know it’s a jar). Don’t worry – the sweets are indeed for you, that is, if they haven’t already been gobbled up on the way home. FYI there has been a spate of crow and pigeon related sweet robberies in the area of late so if all else fails, tell your parents that.
Your task is to do the kindest (and most inventive) thing possible using this cupjar – bonus points if you can get cupjar into the OED. Photo entries can be sent to secretary@tranmerepark.leeds.sch.uk or given directly to Mr Housden in the first week back. There will be a sa’weeeeeeeet prize for the winner to share with their new class.
Some of the previous tasks below may spark some inspiration.
Happy holidays!
Mr H
