Woodpeckers – Earth Day

Saturday 22nd April is Earth Day. Throughout the week in Woodpeckers, we have been getting ready to celebrate this day. At the beginning of the week, our class councillors talked to us about Earth Day. Sharing when it is, what it is and why it is so important. We had a big discussion about Earth and the things we could do to help make it a better place. Our class councillors then tasked us with the job of coming up with one pledge that we promise to do as a class, going forward, to help our Earth. We had lots of suggestions and after a vote, decided on making sure we all help injured and endangered animals. Finally, we created some posters to spread the news about Earth Day to our friends and family!
