KS1 learn all about woodwind instruments

In our shared reader lessons this week, Year 1 have been learning about woodwind instruments and about some of the instruments that you may find in an orchestra. 

To explore this further, we were lucky enough to have some musicians into school, demonstrating the alto saxophone and the clarinet. All of the children in KS1 took part. The children enjoyed learning about how the instruments work and listening to the notes that they create. They even enjoyed singing and dancing along to well-known songs!
