Jelly Baby Fossils
Jelly Baby Fossils
In Science, as part of their ‘Rocks’ topic, Woodpeckers had fun making jelly baby ‘fossils’. They used slices of bread as layers of sedimentary rock and a jelly baby as a creature. The jelly baby was placed in between and below slices of bread and then squashed - a lot! They squashed it with their hands, heavy books and by sitting on it. After all, they were trying to recreate a process which can take millions of years! When they pulled away the layers of bread, they discovered their ‘fossils’. Ta da!
