Mary Seacole Timelines

As part of our work on famous nurses from the past, Eagles have been learning all about the life of Mary Seacole. We have learnt lots of interesting facts about her early life, career and why we still remember her today. The children have also learnt about how her achievements have been acknowledged, through medals for bravery and a statue erected in London in 2016. 

Today, we took our learning outside and placed key events in Mary's life on a timeline. The children had to work in groups to place the events in chronological order and did a fantastic job. Here are some photos of our learning:
