Kirsten Finley – Headteacher

Hello! I am Kirsten Finley, the Headteacher at Tranmere Park. I’ve been employed at the school since 2002, initially as Deputy Head, before becoming Headteacher in 2007. My prior experience was in a diverse range of school settings across Leeds and Liverpool. I've also worked in school support roles as a National Strategies Literacy Consultant and as an Advisor for Leeds City Council as well as training the next generation of Headteachers as a facilitator on the National professional Qualification for Headteachers.

I am designated as a National Leader of Education by the DfE and work with many schools in addition to Tranmere Park through our School Alliance, Noctua.

As Headteacher, I sit on all the sub committees and present a report at each meeting of the Governing Body.

We are lucky to have such a dedicated group of Governors – whether it’s through their regular class visits or attending parent evenings, our Governors all work really hard to ensure Tranmere Park's continued success.

Out of school, I am a keen amateur potter and love to be out walking my border terrier Nell.
