As the idea is to give you an informal view of what’s been going on, I’ll make a start with tonight’s Governor’s meeting. I met with Governors to tell them about the progress our Teaching School Alliance, Noctua, is making. We also talked about the new DfE requirement for schools to assess their pupils without using levels. It’s a big job but we have a plan for implementing this throughout the year and it will be trialled in some classes in the summer term. We know we’ll have to let parents know our plans and information events are planned for the Spring term. Governors were also interested to hear about the Growth Mindsets parent workshop last week.
