Today in Red Kites we have been celebrating Safer Internet Day. This year’s theme is all about ‘exploring respect and relationships online’. We started the session by discussing the ways in which we can use the internet and the ways in which we can do this safely and kindly. We also discussed what we can do if we are ever worried or upset about things we see online. After this, we discussed who can use and access the internet. This brought us onto the question of ‘ should we believe everything we read online?’ Here we discussed spaghetti growing on trees, the difference between facts, opinions and beliefs and fake news!
