We have received a lot of comments recently about the dangers of traffic around school.
Parents, residents and members of staff have all reported incidents in the last 2 weeks of “near misses” involving children and cars driven by parents. A small minority of these appear to have been caused by insufficiently supervised children running into the road.
A much larger proportion of incidents have been reported to us that are caused by inattentive driving or excessive speed.
Please could we remind all parents to drive carefully and considerately around school and use the one way system to help ease congestion.
