Please find attached an important online safety update for parents regarding the use of the social media app TikTok (formerly Musical.ly). TikTok is an app where users can upload and share short videos of themselves dancing, singing or acting. They can gain followers and can browse other people’s videos.
We are aware that the suggested age for this app is age 13+ but as you don’t have to prove your age when setting up an account, much younger children are able to access this app easily.
