It’s been a big week in school! We wanted to send a very quick message to say a huge thank you to our families for their understanding, support and kindness – it has been SO appreciated by all the Tranmere staff. The children in school this week have been amazing and have settled into ‘the new normal’ so well. We are very aware that for some of our youngest children the ten weeks of school partial closures has been a significant percentage of their school lives so far, and that coming back was potentially a huge step. We have loved seeing them begin to mix with their teachers and friends and grow in confidence again as the week has progressed. Thank you very much to parents for reading and adhering to the new school procedures, including social distancing, the one-way system on site and the staggered drop-off and pick-up times. This has enabled us to develop a daily routine that keeps everyone as safe as we possibly can. It’s really important that we all stay vigilant with this in the coming days and weeks.
To our pupils who are being asked to stay at home for a little while longer – we are missing you all so much and are very proud of you all. The learning you are doing at home is the same as the learning we are doing at school and your teachers are still loving receiving this from you. Remember that we are here if you need us and that you can speak with your teachers in your Google Classroom. Please let them know if you need any help – or just to say hi!
On a personal note, I want to say a huge thank you to the staff team for their dedication and calm professionalism this week. From teachers and support staff to the office and site team -you are all incredible and the best team to have with you through a global pandemic! Thank you.
We also need to a say a very special ‘goodbye for a little while’ to Miss Marsden! We all send her our love and best wishes as she officially begins her maternity leave from today. The Bluebird Google Classroom will now be led by the EYFS staff team with the addition of Mrs Holland, who is currently also working in one of the EYFS ‘bubbles’ in school. I’m sure you will all join with us in wishing Miss Marsden and Mr Housden all the very best at this exciting time.
Have a lovely weekend, Team Tranmere! x
