This week in Topic, we have been studying the work of Henri Rousseau to help us create some of our own rainforest art. To begin with, we learnt all about Henri Rousseau and discussed some of his famous pieces. We looked specifically at how he used different techniques to create layers and texture in his art. Then, we had a go at trying to create a rainforest leaf scene, using layers and texture to make it look more realistic! Whilst creating our pieces, some of us linked our previous learning of using the ‘splatter’ technique to create a rain effect. Take a look below at some of our final pieces…
