This week is Children’s Mental Health Week and today the children have taken part in ‘Dress to Express Yourself’. We have completed a few different activities today which are relevant to our Mental Health topic this year, ‘Growing Together’. This morning the children drew a portrait of themselves which showed what they look like on the outside and what their emotions, hobbies, thoughts and feelings looked like on their inner self. The children also had a go at creating their own support bubble. They chose specific people who have helped them to grow or who have supported them to get to where they are today. They decorated their balloons using colouring pencils/felt tips, ribbon, sequins and coloured card. The final activity we did today was about past and future growth. The children created their own ‘Changing Shapes’ picture to show past achievements and future goals and aspirations.
