In Woodpeckers today, we have celebrated European Languages Day. We started the morning by learning how to say hello in lots of different languages, and created some decorations for the classroom to help us remember these. Then, we chose Spanish as our language of focus. We learned how to say hello, good morning, good afternoon, goodbye, thank you, please, yes, no and numbers to 10. We also learned how to ask how someone is feeling, and how to answer this question when we are asked. We finished by creating a fact file of all the Spanish vocabulary we’d learned.
