Throughout our twisted tales unit so far, we have focused on the following 4 things… 1) Telling traditional tales from alternative perspectives. 2) Using consistent tense. 3) Using direct speech and punctuating this correctly. 4) Writing in paragraphs. Today in Woodpeckers, it was time to put our learning into practise and write a WAGOLL together. To start with, we mind-mapped some ideas of how we could twist the traditional tale ‘The Three Little Pigs’ to be told from the wolf’s perspective. Then we shared our ideas, discussing how they’d link together to form our story. Finally, we got together to write a small extract from it.
