As part of our English this half-term, we are focusing on diary writing. This week we have been identifying key features that a good diary entry contains. Today we have looked at simple, compound and complex sentences.
To begin with, we looked at what the definitions of these words are. We found this tricky at first but we were keen not to give up!
Next, we worked together in groups to have a go at identifying whether our sentences were simple, compound or complex.
Finally, we had a go at writing our own!
We are looking forward to continuing our work on this in order to help us write some fantastic diary entries at the end of the half-term.
