As a start to our introduction fortnight to our new Mental Health Initiative, the 5B’s, we talked about each ‘Be’ and what they meant. The first one that we looked at in detail was Be Mindful. To start us off, we worked on our breathing techniques and completed a short breathing exercise. It made us all feel a lot calmer and more relaxed. We also completed a meditation video and some mindfulness colouring. These are all ways of helping with our mental health. We also discussed how the breathing exercises and meditation could be really useful to do before we go to bed as it allows our mind to switch off from our busy lives. We all said we’d give it a try at home! Here are a few pictures to show you!
