To end our topic on weather & climate, we had a survival challenge day. Pupils were asked to bring to school a rucksack packed with items they feel would be useful if they had to survive in a particular climate.
Pupils worked in groups to set up their camp and show what equipment they had brought with them to survive. Some groups were more organised and planned than others!
Pupils also learnt how to tell the age of a tree and to work out how tall a tree is – ask your child how to do this as it is quite unusual. 😆
Everyone had a fantastic time and worked so well in their groups. They all learnt from each other and have discovered some valuable survival tips.
