We have had a great time putting our mathematical skills to the test to create scaled models of maya temples studied in our Topic lessons. Not only did the children have to use exact measurements, they were also given the opportunity to practise their sawing skills – no fingers were lost in the process! Once the buildings were complete, they then used scale to produce smaller buildings and pok-a-tok courts to complete the scene. Was great to see them going back to their EYFS days with the plasticine! Hope you are as impressed with the results as we are.
