We enjoyed a couple of interesting sessions sharing our Time Capsules from 2021 and then looking at one from a child from 1941. It was great to see a variety of historical items as well as those which gave us an insight into different personalities – a love of animals was high on the list! The time capsule from 1941 highlighted that even though a lot of things have changed ( Tik Tok and binge watching on Netflix as opposed to playing dominoes) there were definitely a lot of similarities ( enjoying chocolate to name one!) One of the main similarities discovered by the children was the presence of masks in both: protecting against gas in 1941 and Corona Virus in 2021. We had some great discussions and it was lovely to see the children proudly sharing their capsules.
