Today, Eagles used practical equipment to explore greater than, less than and equal to. They used cubes to help them understand this key vocabulary and its associated symbols <, > and =.  Brilliant effort, Year 1!

This week school council have been decorating their suggestion boxes! These will be placed in their classes after half-term, ready to be filled with pupil suggestions. Thanks to our year 6 helpers who also helped us decorate these at lunch.

Today, Eagles explored greater than, less than and equal to using concrete apparatus. Some children completed a problem solving task, where they had to identify statements that were true or false. For example 6 is less than 4 or 8 is greater than 5.

This month is national Oracy month and alongside this half term’s theme of ‘Be a Speaker,’ the children prepared short presentations about their favourite toys.
