As our Exit Point to our ‘Toys’ topic, KS1 visited Abbey House Museum. We wanted to learn more about old and new toys and Abbey House Museum have a fantastic toy museum which we could explore.
After embarking on a very exciting coach trip (always a highlight) we spent the day accessing toy workshops, exploring the toy museum and investigating the Victorian streets downstairs.
We loved accessing the toy workshops as not only did we learn so much about toys from the past and present but we also got to handle and play with lots of the toys too!
Our trip back was another highlight as we were sent coaches that the sports players use! They had leather seats and tables. The children couldn’t contain their excitement!
What a fabulous day we had at Abbey House Museum!
