As part of our work on Oracy (speaking and listening), the children have been developing their ability to ‘Be A Speaker.’ We have focused on the key stills of speaking – giving eye contact, speaking in full sentences, speaking clearly and for the Year 2s, also using hand gestures. To practise these key skills, the children played a range of games in pairs and in groups, including ‘Guess Who?’ To conclude our work, we tied our Oracy skills in with our topic learning and the children presented their favourite toy to their peers. The children really impressed us with their confidence and preparation. Well done Skylarks, great work!
