This morning, we were treated to an orienteering session, run by Simon Martland from the Airienteers, a local orienteering group. We had lots of fun practising using our map-reading skills to find various points, pictures and signs. Firstly, we looked at smaller maps and practised how to hold the maps so that we always had north the correct way. Then, we moved onto the harder courses! We had to find our way around the school site, in certain orders, using dibbers to time our efforts. We had an amazing time and I think we certainly have some future orienteering experts in our class!
Have a look for yourself at how much fun we had.
