Today in Herons class, we looked at the key features of a persuasive letter. We discussed the structure of the letter; greeting, opening, argument (reasons), conclusions and signature. We also looked at other features like adjectives, bossy verbs and questions (including rhetorical questions). The children worked in small groups to annotate letters from our class book.
