This week, KS1 have been tasked with some very special DT homework.
Children have been asked to invent something to help Father Christmas during the busy December period! This could be anything… the crazier and more creative the better!
This task is part of a Christmas competition set up by a team called ‘The Little Inventors’ and therefore, a number of schools up and down the country will also be taking part in this challenge. The Little Inventors have announced that once all entries have been submitted, a winner from one school will be chosen, with a prize of £200 for their school given.
You can find out more about the competition here: https://www.littleinventors.org/challenges/lets-help-father-christmas
Your child has been given a special design sheet in which they need to create their invention on. It is also attached below in case they need another one.
There is no need for you to submit their entry to the website. This will be done by staff when their inventions are brought back into school.

Good luck! We can’t wait to see what you all come up with…
